Serhat Karakayalı
born 1971, M.A. in Sociology, Ph.D. on the „Metamorphosis of Illegality”
at the University of Frankfurt am Main. He worked on transformation of welfare
states and issues of migration and citizenship. He was fellow researcher in the
project Transit Migration based at the University of Frankfurt, Department for
Cultural Anthropology. He currently works on Social Movement Unionism in
Europe; postfordist Hegemony and Modernism, Urbanism and Migration in the
postcolonial context.
