Els Roelandt(°1967, Belgium) studied Art History at the Universitiy of Leuven and the University of Ghent. She has been working as a free lance art critic for several newspapers and art magazines (ao BT-Magazine, Tokyo, Contemporary, London). She worked as a researcher for Muhka (Museum for Contemporary art, Antwerp) and was co-founder of A Prior Magazine in 1999. Since 2002 she is chief-editor and managing director of A Prior for which she realised projects with ao Allan Sekula, Martha Rossler, Joachim Koester, Deimantas Narkevicius, Sven Augustijnen, Honoré d’O, Steven Shearer and Gabriel Kuri. Since 2006 she also teaches at the University College for Visual Arts and Design (KASK) in Ghent. |
